Hey loves,
welcome back to another episode of Rooted Radio.
Today we're diving into some really important topics from detox genetics,
to EMFs, to energy healing,
and more. I want to take plenty of time to explain all your questions
in this episode, so let's dive right into it.
Your first question was, I wanted to know if you can talk about what
the HLADR gene means.
I've heard people with that gene struggle to detox more.
Is that true, and what does that how do you support your body if
you have this gene? Yes,
this is a great question. So the HLADR gene is a natural
part of your immune system, and certain variations of it are associated with a
reduced ability to detox specific biotoxins.
Things like mold,
lime, and other environmental toxins.
So, think of it like this. Most people can tag toxins and
quote-unquote take out the trash But,
if you have this gene vert,
your body
might not tag the trash as dangerous,
so it just kind of hangs out. It gets recirculated instead of cleared,
which can lead to chronic inflammation,
sensitivity, and symptoms that feel confusing or hard to treat.
But, here's the key. It doesn't mean you can't detox.
It just means your body needs a more gentle,
intentional, and consistent approach.
You'll want to focus on supporting drainage pathways early and often,
reducing your total toxin load—think things like mold,
metals, EMFs, and chemicals—supporting your body emotionally,
not just physically, and going slower than with finders or detox tools
to avoid stirring up too much all at once.
Inside Rooted & Reawakened, we actually build this entire process with this
in mind. Assuming that many of you do have trouble clearing things and need
a smarter, more energetic approach. Having an HLADR
gene variation isn't a life sentence.
In fact, about 30% of the population has a HLADR
gene variant that makes them more susceptible to mold illness,
Lyme, and other biotoxins.
This is exactly why we focus on terrain theory.
Instead of hyper-focusing on specific gene snips and convincing ourselves our bodies
aren't fully capable of healing, we heal from the root up to create
resilience. Like I talk about in the Rooted in and Reawakened course,
epigenetics shows us that your genes aren't your destiny.
Your environment and habits ultimately decide your susceptibility to illness.
All right, your next question was,
is there a pattern or root cause that leads to sleep apnea?
Fortunately, I don't deal with it, but it is shocking how many people I
know who do. I love that you're thinking about root cause here,
because yes, there absolutely are patterns we see with sleep apnea.
One of the most commonly seen overlooked causes is mouth breathing or underdeveloped
jaw structure, which can create airway blockages.
There's also a connection between chronic inflammation,
low vagal tone, and even lymphatic stagnation around the neck and
brain that can lead to this kind of disruption.
In other cases, things like mold exposure,
histamine intolerance, or structural misalignment in the cervical spine can also
play a role. So it's rarely just a structural issue,
it's often a nervous system plus inflammation in the issue too.
If someone has sleep apnea and just wears a CPAP without really exploring the
deeper patterns, they might manage the symptom but not fully heal the root.
As always, I recommend focusing on functional health first here.
Things like that. Things like daily movement, ancestral nutrition,
focusing on nose breathing if possible,
and if those things don't help, diving deeper into root cause work can be
really helpful here. All right,
next topic. Do you ever do Reiki?
And do you ever go to body, emotion,
or belief code practitioners?
Yes, absolutely. I have received Reiki and I love subtle
energy work. Personally, I've found that the most powerful healing happens when
we engage the body and the energies.
I've also worked with body code and emotion code practitioners
before, and I believe muscle-testing-based energy work like that is so
helpful, especially for clearing subconscious blocks or trapped emotions that we don't
even realize are affecting us physically.
The muscle-testing technique I use is actually very similar to what they teach
in the body code. But,
I also think it's important to remember that emotions and energetics aren't the only
layer that need to be addressed, which,
unfortunately, is how some of these,
programs tend to teach.
But, when combined with physical detox and somatic healing,
it can be incredibly powerful.
That's why it's important
inside Rooted and Reawakened, I intentionally blend these layers.
Because the body remembers and the energy body stores just as much as the
tissues. Overall,
my favorite form of energy work outside of what we do inside Rooted
and Reawakened is the Emotional Release Technique with my friend Chelsea's
team, formerly called
MindBodySpiritRelease. I will go ahead and link her practice,
CB Wellness, below. if you ever want to try booking a virtual session
with her team. All right,
next question was, my hair has been graying quickly.
Does make sense getting mass cell activation symptoms?
Is this correlated? Such an insightful observation,
and yes, there can certainly be a correlation here.
Rapid graying is often related to oxidative stress,
which is very common in people with MS.
or chronic inflammation.
When your mass cells are constantly activated,
they release histamine and other mediators that create stress in the body,
and that stress can deplete minerals,
antioxidants, and enzymes like catalase that help prevent inflammation.
preserve hair pigment.
Low copper, or imbalanced iron,
crosses the inflammation,
trauma, and even certain infections can all contribute to premature graying as well.
So, while some graying is normal over time,
when it happens really quickly alongside MCAS or other symptoms,
it's often a clue that your body's under a lot of hidden stress.
and that it's asking for deeper support.
The work we're doing inside Rooted and Reawakened is all directly addressing these root
causes. So, when it comes to graying hair,
we really have to play the long game to remineralize your body,
reduce that systemic stress, and get your mast cells back to balance.
Okay,
next topic was, I'd love to know more about EMFs and the biggest contributors
in people's homes. Are there ways to reduce exposure besides EMF blocking
devices? Yes, and I love that you're being proactive here.
EMFs are a real burden on the nervous system and mitochondrial health,
and while not everyone feels them acutely,
they absolutely affect cellular regulation over time.
Some of the biggest culprits at home are Wi-Fi routers,
especially sleeping near one, cell phones on your body or next to your bed,
smart meters, which pulse radiation constantly through the home,
Bluetooth devices and baby monitors,
and dirty electricity from certain appliances.
Smart meter shields are great, but you can also hardwire your internet
if possible, turn Wi-Fi off at night,
and I like to use a timer plug to help with this.
Keep your phone on airplane mode while sleeping or while your phone is near
your body, and use grounding tools to rebalance the body's frequency.
And try to spend as much time outside grounding as possible.
The earth carries a negative electrical charge.
It's rich in free electrons. So,
when you walk barefoot on grass,
soil, or sand, those electrons actually flow into your body and
help neutralize the positive charge from EMF exposure.
And ultimately, I want to emphasize that reducing EMF is less about
fear and more about creating an internal and external environment
where your cells can actually rest.
We're already working to remin- We're already working to remineralize
your body and create an environment where your body can actually handle stressors like
EMFs in moderate amounts without experiencing symptoms.
But, it's always good to stay educated and mitigate that EMF exposure whenever
possible. Alright,
that was all of your topics for today.
Thank you for all of these thoughtful questions.
This is the kind of depth I love to explore with you.
I hope this episode helped you feel more empowered,
more informed, and more connected to your healing journey.
As always, if something clicked or resonated,
feel free to share it inside the community. I love hearing what lands for
you. Talk soon, and sending you so much love.
