Hey beautiful souls and welcome
back to the podcast which you'll notice is now officially renamed Rooted
Radio. I'm so excited you're here with me today and I have some big
beautiful news to share before we get we dive in.
The new Rooted and Reawakened Learning Portal is officially live.
This has been such a labor of love created to guide you through the
deep foundational layers of healing from drainage and detox to
nervous system healing. restoration and somatic reconnection.
If you haven't already, you can start exploring the modules at your own pace
using the links in our community space.
Much of the content is the same as the previous Root Cause Clinic course,
just refreshed. and reimagined.
I do recommend checking out Modules 4 and 5, which are all completely
new content focused on somatic healing and living in alignment with your circadian
and infradian rhythms. Along with the new learning portal,
you'll notice updated branding and a new community portal.
Some of the links have changed with this rebrand,
so if at any point you have trouble accessing something,
feel free to shoot me an email, and I am happy to help as
always. Alright, now,
let's get into it. the questions you submitted for this week.
Your first question was,
I don't know when I'll be ready, but how do you start talking to
your doctor about getting off a biologic or any major medication?
This is such an important question, and first of all,
I want to say, I see you. Even thinking about this shows that you're
tuning into your body and your intuition.
So when you're ready to begin this conversation,
a gentle way to approach it is to start by sharing how you're feeling,
not just physically, but energetically.
You might say something like,
I've been exploring some more holistic tools for my health and I'm starting
to feel stronger in ways I haven't before.
I'd love to start a conversation about what it might look like long term
to reduce or eventually come off of this medication.
You're not asking for permission here.
You're really just opening the door to a collaborative conversation.
And remember, it's okay if your doctor doesn't fully understand
the path you're on. Some will be supportive,
others might not. But this is your body and your healing journey.
In a doctor-patient relationship,
remember, you're the one in charge here.
If you don't feel supported in your decision to start weaning off medications,
it might be time to start looking for a new doctor.
You don't have to rush this, but once your symptoms begin resolving and your
body is in a better place physiologically,
it's usually a good time to have these talks with your doctor because you
will likely reach a point where your body doesn't need the biologics or medications
anymore. And, ultimately,
that's our goal here, healing the terrain and getting back to homeostasis.
Alright, next question.
After remediation, how do you control the leftover mold spores?
So, post-remediation mold management is really just about maintenance
and minimizing exposure going forward.
A few supportive steps for this include,
first and foremost, air filtration.
A high-quality air filter, air purifier with a HEPA and carbon filter is
key, especially in bedrooms or spaces where you spend a lot of time.
My favorite option is Air Doctor,
which I can link in the notes below.
Ness? Next,
dust control is important.
Mold binds to dust, so regular dusting with a damp cloth and
vacuuming with a HEPA vacuum is important.
Also, humidity management is critical.
You want to keep indoor humidity levels below 50%, ideally
around 40%, using a dehumidifier if needed.
Overall, remember that mold is active. Just like parasites,
it's only when it overgrows that it becomes an issue.
So, we want to address the root causes of mold,
but not spend too much time thinking about it beyond that.
As long as your post-remediation mold testing results look clear and you've
removed the initial problem, you shouldn't have to worry too much about leftover
mold spores. Alright,
next question. Chronic dark circles under eyes.
Is this a nutrient deficiency or do you have skin problems?
Such a great question,
and the answer is, it can be both internal and external.
Dark circles often signal something going on underneath the surface.
Some common root causes include liver or kidney congestion,
especially if it's paired with puffiness or swelling,
food sensitivities, especially gluten or dairy,
poor lymphatic drainage or sinus congestion,
mineral imbalances, especially low iron or copper issues,
and chronic mold or histamine issues. And also keep in mind it can be
some combination of these things as well.
So, yes, nutrient depletion can be a contributor,
but I always encourage looking at drainage and detox support.
In my practice, I see dark circles as a liver drainage issue
most frequently. Topically,
things like cold rollers, gentle lymphatic facial drainage,
or products with caffeine and vitamin C can help brighten that
area. But long-term change really comes from the inside out.
Your skin is a reflection of what's happening.
Your skin ultimately is a reflection of what's happening.
Internally. And a note for this client's case
specifically, we do know there is a probable mold exposure happening,
so I have a feeling as soon as you're no longer exposed to those
mycotoxins, you'll see a shift in the dark circles as well.
Next slide. The next question was, can you explain strep more?
What does it mean when strep overgrowth comes up on your scan,
and how does it happen? This is one I get asked about a lot,
and it's such a fascinating topic,
so let's break it down simply here.
Strep, short for streptococcus,
is a type of bacteria that lives naturally in our bodies,
mainly the throat, skin, and the GI tract.
Everyone has some level of strep,
and it's usually harmless until it becomes infected.
Acute strep,
like strep throat, is when the bacteria multiplies quickly and your immune
system reacts. That's when you see things like fever,
sore throat, and swollen glands.
And that's often treated with antibiotics.
But, what shows up in our bioenergetics scans is not
usually acute. It's chronic or systemic strep overgrowth.
This kind of strep imbalance can be triggered by
suppressed immune function, gut dysbiosis,
hormonal changes, especially from oral birth control,
past antibiotic use, or underlying stealth symptoms.
infections that can create an environment where strep likes to thrive.
So when strep shows up in a scan,
we're not trying to kill it off completely.
We're working to rebalance the terrain so the body no longer sees it
as a threat. This includes detoxing,
drainage support, restoring your immune strength,
and using herbal antimicrobials.
Strep overgrowth is super common nowadays.
I'd say I see this come up in at least two out of five
bioenergetic scans I run.
Where a lot of practitioners go wrong with this is they see strep come
up, and then target it directly,
and they use a very, very intense approach.
But, it's important to follow the correct order of operations for detoxing,
and take a gentle, deep breath. body-led approach,
like we're doing now. When you do it this way,
strep and other bacteria will balance out naturally,
and you won't face this overgrowth again later on down the line.
All right, your next question was what is the deal with the full moon
and parasites? I keep seeing people recommend cutting your hair or doing parasite
cleanses during the full moon. Why?
Yes, the full moon energy. This is one of my favorite topics.
Here's what we know. During the full moon,
there is a shift in our biology.
Serotonin levels go up, melatonin levels go down,
and this can actually stimulate parasite activity.
Parasites become more active and,
or, reproductive around the full moon because they're responding to these hormonal and
neurological shifts, just like the ocean tides.
That's why many cultures have traditionally timed parasite cleanses with
the full moon, when the body is more sensitive and the parasites are more
vulnerable. Energetically,
it's also considered a time of illumination,
bringing hidden things to the surface.
As for cutting hair, that's more of a symbolic ritual,
but many believe trimming is during the full moon can promote stronger,
faster hair growth. It ties into the idea of shedding old energy in cycles
and aligning with nature's rhythms.
So if you felt extra emotional,
bloated, or even triggered around the full moon,
you're not imagining it. Your body is fully in tune with the moon,
just like everything else in nature. One additional important thing to note with
this, you'll see a lot of practitioners recommending parasite cleansing only
around the full moon for this reason. I do not recommend full
moon parasite cleansing because doing a parasite cleanse for just a few days per
month will never be effective for clearing the overgrowth.
That's why we do long-term parasite cleansing with plenty of drainage support.
You might find you purge more parasites over the full moon because they're more
active, but we need to continue cleansing beyond that to really get through those
deeper layers of pathogens in the body. All right,
that's all for today, my loves.
Thank you for being here, for asking questions, and for trusting
me to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
Always remember, healing doesn't have to be rushed or forced.
It unfolds one layer at a time in divine timing.
Sending you all so much love and light.
Until next time, buh-bye.
