Hey loves,
welcome back to the podcast. I am so grateful you're here.
Before we dive in, I have something very special to share.
So within the next few weeks, the Root Cause Clinic will be getting a
huge facelift and will be renamed Rooted and Reawakened.
This is a spiritual and science-backed.
This is an updated road map to help you reconnect with your body, restart
your natural rhythms, and reawaken the inner healer that's always been within you.
This shift is a reflection of the trauma and somatic work I've done over
the last couple of years, and it's what I've been working on in the
background every day for the last couple of months.
With this launch, there's will be a brand new course and learning portal which
walks you through drainage support, parasite cleansing,
somatic healing, and so much more.
A lot of the information will be similar to the Root Cause Clinic course,
but there is also a ton of new information and valuable insights
packed into this course. If you are inside the Root Cause Clinic when I
launch the new program, you will receive free access to the new course.
With the launch, there will also be updated branding and a new website,
so if you see things change inside the client portal,
over the next few weeks, don't worry,
your bio-individual support will remain exactly the same, but the look of the community
portal will be a little different to better support your healing journey.
I'll share more early access information soon,
so stay tuned. Alright.
First, let's get into your questions.
So your first question for this episode was,
after mold remediation, how can you prevent it from coming back?
Such an important question. Overall, the remediation should remedy
any long-term problems. But ultimately,
you want to create a mold-unfriendly environment.
So here's what I recommend. First,
try to keep your indoor humidity between 30 and 45 percent.
You can buy a hygrometer for pretty cheap.
You also want to use HEPA air
filters, especially in bedrooms and basements.
Run dehumidifiers in any damp areas.
Routinely check for leaks or condensation in sinks,
windows, and your HVAC. And you can also consider yearly mold
testing with a professional if you really want to keep tabs on it.
Okay, next question was, can you talk more about the term leaky gut and
what this means? Also things to do to seal the gut.
I definitely know parasites can contribute,
but is there anything else? Yes, leaky gut or intestinal
permeability is when the tight junctions in your gut lining become too open.
This allows toxins, food particles,
and pathogens into the bloodstream. This kicks up inflammation,
and it can lead to things like food sensitivities,
brain fog, skin issues, autoimmune flares,
and more. Parasites are definitely a huge contributor,
but so are things like mold, glyphosate,
E. coli. MS, the standard American diet,
and chronic stress. To support healing the gut lining,
we want to remove root cause stressors,
which we are already doing through your protocol. Nourish with things like
bone broth, ghee, aloe,
and rice. If tolerated,
choose organic foods when possible to minimize glyphosate exposure,
and support your nervous system,
since it's all connected. But, overall,
if there's anything that your gut lining really needs to heal and
seal, it's going to test strong in your protocol,
so you don't really need to do much beyond what we are already doing.
Okay, next question was, is it really possible to heal ADHD symptoms through
root cause work? Yes,
and this one makes me emotional. Because so many people are told they'll struggle
forever when really their brain and body are just overwhelmed.
And although I personally did not struggle with ADHD,
I suffered from very extreme depression and anxiety.
for about a decade, uhm,
and doctors told me I would never heal.
But here I am with a completely balanced nervous system,
and I don't experience those emotional lows anymore after doing root cause
work. So I am a living testament that it is possible.
possible to heal your brain and nervous system.
When it comes to ADHD specifically,
root causes that I see often include heavy metals like lead and
mercury, gut inflammation and candida overgrowth,
mold exposure, stored trauma in the body,
and nervous system dysregulation. I have seen massive shifts in symptoms
like ADHD when those layers are addressed, which we will actively work through inside
your
protocols. Your brain can may always be wired creatively,
but that doesn't mean you're stuck in fog or forgetfulness
forever. I also love neurofeedback as a support for ADHD
specifically. I'll link a study below that talks about how neurofeedback can to support
ADHD symptoms. Okay,
next question. Thoughts on taking Shilajit daily?
So Shilajit is great. It's rich in fulvic acid and trace minerals,
but it's not a magic fix.
And I know social media will say otherwise.
If drainage is blocked or the body is inflamed,
you may not absorb those minerals effectively.
I personally prefer CT minerals from Cellcor,
which combines fulvic acid and carbon technology,
which helps deliver those minerals deep into the cell.
So Shilajit is nice,
but it works best after other foundations are in place.
And if you're going to invest in a mineral supplement,
I really prefer CT minerals.
Also, I do have a high quality Shilajit brand in my muscle testing guide,
so if your body is really calling for it,
it will come up in your protocols as well.
Okay, next question. What is limbic retraining and is it helpful?
So limbic retraining is a brain rewiring practice used to
calm the threat response system.
It can be supportive for things like chronic fatigue,
anxiety, and general sensitivity.
However, I don't usually recommend it in the early stages of healing.
If your body is still full of toxins,
metals, pathogens, being told to think differently can feel
really invalidating and honestly it can be very triggering.
In the beginning of my own healing journey,
I did about three different limbic,
In the beginning of my own healing journey, I tried about three different limbic
retraining programs and they ultimately made my anxiety so
much worse because it was so triggering for my nervous system.
Obviously, everyone's different and you feel,
Obviously, everyone is so different and if you feel called
for Obviously,
everyone is so different and if you feel called to it,
go for it. But, I usually recommend,
leaning toward somatic work first.
It helps you ground into the body, learn to feel safe again,
and then retraining the mind becomes much easier if you even need to do
that after somatic work. I will be touching much more on somatic
healing in the upcoming Rooted and Reawakened course,
so stay tuned for that.
Okay, next topic was can you talk about TRE therapy and is
it safe to try alone? Yes, so TRE stands for Tension Rehabilitation Therapy.
So TRE of relaxation trauma-releasing exercises.
It uses neurogenic tremoring,
which essentially are the natural shakes and releases the body does to process
stored tension. If you have trauma history,
freeze response, or dissociation,
I recommend taking working with a practitioner to do this at least once.
The goal with this kind of work is titration,
not flooding the body with too much nervous system work at once.
Also, connection is very important when it comes to healing the nervous system,
so if at all possible, I always recommend working with a certified practitioner
the first time you implement new supports like this.
All right, next question was any holistic tips for
eye health? Yes, eye health is so often overlooked.
Some of my favorite ways to support your eyes are first,
getting morning sunlight in your eyes.
Make sure you're not wearing glasses or contacts when you do this.
Ideally about 10 minutes right when you wake up in the morning.
Even if the sun isn't out, just getting natural light in your eyes can
be really helpful. Um, you want to limit blue light exposure after dark.
If you're looking at screens after dark, using blue light blocking glasses can also
be helpful too. Eating for eye health,
just generally a whole foods ancestral diet is great,
but things like organic carrots, wild blueberries,
and omega-3s are really helpful.
I also recommend using the 20-20-20 rule,
especially if you work looking at a screen all day.
So every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
And remember,
toxicity and inflammation in the body does impact the eyes.
They're just another organ in the body. Many of my clients have such seen
vision shifts just through detoxing.
And I myself had very severe eye issues before detoxing Lyme and co-infections.
And now I have 20-20 vision and I don't have to wear glasses anymore.
So it does take time, but it is possible.
Okay, next question was how does the sauna compare to
castor oil packs or enemas?
Great question. So each of these supports detox,
but in slightly different ways. Sauna helps to move toxins
through the skin. Which is effective,
but can be very intense. Castor oil packs calm the nervous system,
gently support lymph and bile flow,
and then coffee enemas stimulate,
again, bile and support liver gallbladder detox.
box. If, If saunas haven't tested strong for you in protocols,
it's likely that, If saunas haven't tested very
strong for you in protocols, it's likely your body isn't ready for that level
of heat yet. Which is pretty common,
so, Which is pretty common,
saunas are seen as a cure-all,
but what I've found is they can sometimes be too intense and depleting.
So, for more sensitive individuals,
it's usually better to layer saunas in after the majority of your detox work
is done and your drainage pathways are fully open so you can really receive
the full benefits of the sauna.
All right, last question was thoughts on fluoride,
nanohydroxyapatite,
hydrogen peroxide, and chewing gum.
So, let's break this down. Fluoride, I avoid it,
I recommend, fluoride,
I avoid it, I recommend avoiding fluoride at all costs.
We know now it suppresses thyroid and pineal gland function in the body.
Nanohydroxyapatite, love it.
This is an amazing support.
It helps rebuild enamel and supports remineralization of the teeth.
It is a great natural alternative to fluoride.
Hydrogen peroxide, this is okay occasionally,
but I wouldn't recommend using it daily.
It can disrupt your oral microbiome.
And gum, it's alright if it's clean.
I would recommend looking for xylitol or mastic gum to support saliva.
And oral health, if you're going to be chewing gum.
I personally love and use the Boca brand of toothpaste and remineralizing
products. I will go ahead and link them in the notes below.
And, as always, remember oral health connects back to the gut.
It's all one terrain.
Alright, thank you so much for these wonderful questions.
As always, it's an honor to witness your healing journey and offer support.
I will be sharing more about Rooted and Reawakened very soon.
And I cannot wait to welcome you into this next chapter.
Until next time, stay rooted, stay curious,
and remember to trust your body.
It always knows the way to healing.
