Hi there and welcome to another episode of the podcast.
I want to start out this episode with a quote from Susan Weiss Berry
that I am really loving right now.
With every act of self-care, your authentic self gets stronger and the
critical fearful mind gets weaker.
Every act of self-care is a powerful declaration of I am on
my side. Each day I am more and more on my side.
I think this is such a beautiful encapsulation of the work we're doing here.
Ultimately, we're becoming more and more on our own side.
We're learning to advocate for ourselves, learning to trust our own bodies,
empowering ourselves with the knowledge and support we need to heal,
and choosing acts of self-care even when it feels difficult.
On my own healing journey, I really didn't start to see things shift until
I started prioritizing myself and stopped trying to pour from an empty cup.
Even when I could barely walk, my chronic fatigue was so bad,
I would constantly ask myself, how can I support myself right now?
How can I really care for myself and show up for myself?
And throughout all the protocols I've done,
all the doctors and practitioners I've worked with,
that was the most powerful thing I ever did for my healing.
It was to learn to take care of myself again,
day by day, until my authentic self became stronger than my
fear. So if you're struggling today,
I hope those words serve as a source of inspiration for you.
Healing comes from within. It really comes from tending to our inner child.
All right, I will now go ahead and jump into your questions
for this week. So your first question was,
what causes back pain with your period and is that normal?
So yes, this is normal, but we don't want it to be too severe.
Cramps and back pain are caused by prostaglandins,
which trigger contractions and inflammation,
and they can make period pain feel more intense.
Higher prostaglandin levels are linked to more severe back cramps and back pain.
If you notice your cramping is pretty severe during your period,
that's a sign to continue supporting your drainage pathways,
especially your liver, and reduce inflammation.
These are all things we're currently supporting with your protocol,
but additional supports here are to avoid caffeine a few days before and also
during your period. Also, adding in some extra lymphatic support like
rebounding or dry brushing before your period can be helpful.
I also recommend sipping on ginger,
turmeric, and raspberry leaf teas right before and during
your menstrual period.

These will help to reduce inflammation and support healthy hormone levels.
Okay, your next question was,
what's the deal with microdosing and what are your thoughts about it?
I love this question and I can't believe I've never touched on this in
a podcast before. I'm actually a big fan of microdosing psilocybin
specifically and I've done it for many years now actually.

psilocybin specifically and I've done it for many years now.
Kristi Nault, another wonderful holistic health practitioner in this space,
has an amazing company called Microflow where she's selling microdosing supplements out
of the US. I'll go ahead and link her website in the notes below
if you want to check it out. Ultimately,
psilocybin is just another plant that's used by,
Ultimately, psilocybin is just another plant that's been used
to heal for centuries. I really reject the notion that it's a harmful
drug. This is just marketing propaganda from our government.
Psilocybin causes,
really no harm to the body, whereas pharmaceuticals like Xanax and other antidepressants
have hundreds of side effects, but are handed out like candy in today's society.
Microdosing can be really helpful for trauma recovery,
anxiety, and depression. In my own time,
healing journey, I found microdosing helped me to better receive trauma therapy
and mind-body-spirit release because it reduced my constant fight-or-flight responses.
Everyone responds to this medicine differently,
but I personally have had very positive experiences with it.
And I have a lot of clients who have also worked with Christie's microflow
blends and loved them. Some of the proven benefits of psilocybin
are reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety by promoting neuroplasticity
and increasing serotonin receptor activity.
A 2018 study also found that microdosing may enhance
cognitive flexibility, allowing for new perspectives and insights.
It also promotes neurogenesis,
a.k.a. the growth of new brain cells,
and enhances the connections between neurons.
As with any new herb or supplement,
use caution and start slow,
but if you're feeling called to try it,
I can't recommend it enough. It's very gentle,
and Christie's blends specifically use just a teeny tiny bit amount per capsule
of the psilocybin. If you have any other questions about it,
feel free to drop them in the chat and I can share more.
I also know Christie has some great information on microdosing on her website and
her Instagram as well. Alright, your next topic suggestion was health
anxiety relating to healing.
I've noticed that I've been anxious over the idea of healing my gut and
worried for when I actually start to see parasites in my bowel movements.
First off, I just want to reaffirm that that you definitely aren't alone here.
Anyone starting this journey, as well as myself,
feels exactly the same way.
I want to remind you that your body is a self-healing organism.
All we're doing here with this work is removing the stressors that are preventing
your body from healing itself. Parasites aren't necessarily a bad thing.
It's just when they overgrow that they become a problem.
With this work, we're simply going at your body's pace to clear this overgrowth
so your own immune system can kick in again and take over the rest.
Parasite cleansing sounds scary and most people do it wrong,
but when you do it correctly the way our ancestors did and with the
proper drainage support, it's really not that big of a deal.
And if you aren't poking through your bowel movements,
you usually won't even see them. You don't feel them coming out and they're
already dead anyways. The most common feedback I hear from clients who've just started
their Parasite Cleansing Journey is that they're super relieved to know,
...the most common feedback I hear from clients
who've just started their Parasite Cleansing Journey is that they're super relieved to know
these pathogens are no longer inside their body,
eating up nutrients and causing chronic inflammation.
It can also, don't be really reaffirming to see Parasites you pass because when
you've been gaslit by doctors and told there's no root cause to your symptoms,
seeing something visually like a Parasite that you've passed really shows you,
okay, there was something all along driving these symptoms and now I'm really making
progress towards clearing them.
Hopefully that helps. I'm here to support you and encourage you through this process
as well. Whenever these worries pop up,
know that everyone inside RCC is going through something similar and you are alone
with this. Yes. Alright. Your last question for this episode
was, do you think adrenal cocktails are worthwhile?
Is there any reason we should not drink them?
This is a great question and I actually used to be a pro metabolic
nutrition account on insulin. See you soon. So I was very gung ho on
adrenal cocktails for many years.
However, the more I learned about healing systemic inflammation and true root
cause healing, the more I realized the typical adrenal cocktail recipe,
which is made with fruit juice. It was skyrocketing my clients blood sugar and
making their inflammation ultimately worse.
For anyone who isn't familiar, the goal of adrenal cocktails is to provide a
whole food source of vitamin C, potassium,
and sodium to support the adrenal glands.
While the goal of this drink is positive,
the ultimate effect of that much sugar when you're using fruit juice like orange
juice can actually cause even more stress to the adrenals.
So I like to go for something that's still high in minerals,
but doesn't have all of that sugar in it. If you want to experiment
with adding in an extra boost of minerals daily for adrenal and energy support,
I am going to go ahead and include five great low sugar adrenal cocktail
to the hospital. Put these in the notes below.
You can go ahead and drink one to two per day and let me
know if you try any of them and how you like them.
Alright, that's everything for today.
Please let me know in the community chat if you had any questions or
thoughts as you listened. I hope you have a great rest of your week.
Bye-bye.
